Thank you for your interest in our Pilot Adventure Program at The Capable Canine. Don’t let your dog get cabin fever this fall and winter. While a traditional day care program can be great, it doesn’t offer the opportunity for dogs to get out in nature. This program is unique in that your dog will get the opportunity to let his or her hair down in the great outdoors. Your dog and a few other doggie friends will get to visit a trail, park, beach, etc. for 90 to 120 min on each excursion. Unlike other programs that rotate different dogs each session, we will have the same dogs attend throughout the program so they can develop deep bonds and friendships.
This program will run for 5 weeks on Thursdays, starting Oct. 30th from 8:45 to 12:30 pm.
The cost is $375 which is $75 per session.

Although, those behaviors are very important that will not be our primary focus in this program. We will introduce the very useful behavior of a whistle recall. The is an invaluable tool that you will be able to use for your dog’s lifetime. During the Pilot Adventure Program dogs will have social time with other dogs and get to sniff around in nature. Your dog will get lots of practice with developing reliable eye contact, name response, sit, touch, recall and leave it. When we are on excursions all dogs will wear a long line for safety purposes. All dogs should be able to ride calmly in a van with other dogs. All dogs will be tethered or ride in crates while being transported to and from their excursion.
