This 6 week puppy class will get your pup started on the right foot.  We will focus on socialization, appropriate play with other dogs as well as introduce basic behaviors such as sit, down, drop/give, come/here, and loose leash walking and so much more.  Puppies must be between 8 and 20 weeks of age to attend.

This short, super action packed class is just what the doctor ordered for winter cabin fever! In this class we will play with our dogs, that's right, you read that correctly, play with our dogs. Play is one of the most important things we can do with our dogs, but how many of us actually know how to play with our dogs. Play is so important because it is one of things that links our two species together, our undying love of play. Play can help eliminate stress, burn off calories, stimulate the brain and nurture the bond between humans and canines. What could be better than that? We will spend class teaching games to play with your dog one on one then we will also play games as a group. Gather the family up for this one because this is sure to be a hit!

Introducing “Peaceful Pals – Soothing the Reactive Dog” The Reactive Dog class has gotten a face-lift and now will be known as “Peaceful Pals – Soothing the Reactive Dog”.  Since constant stress can have many negative side effects on the body and mind, this class focuses on helping dogs and humans gain more peace and tranquility in their lives.  “Peaceful Pals” is perfect for dogs that have “issues” with other dogs, humans or other stimuli.  We will teach basic skills, practice calming exercises, and use counter conditioning and desensitization techniques through out this 7-week class.  If you have a dog that has a bone to pick with other dogs, this class may be just the fit for your dog.   The first week will be a mandatory human only orientation. Space is very limited so be sure to sign up soon.

This class prepares students with five weeks of instruction to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. Week 6 will be the test.  The American Kennel Club offers a certification open to all dogs (pure and mixed breed) to recognize the efforts of dog owners who have made a commitment to training. The Canine Good Citizen certificate is granted to those dogs who can perform all 10 of the items on the CGC test. All dogs that pass the CGC test can receive a certificate from the AKC. This class is also ideal for anyone with the goal of doing therapy work with their dog. You'll learn what is required of a therapy team and become familiar with the certification process.
